Miconazole Nitrate Cream IP 2% is a topical antifungal medication used to treat various skin infections caused by fungi and yeasts, such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, cutaneous candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to the death of the fungus.
