Artemether 80 mg and Lumefantrine 480 mg Tablets are used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including strains resistant to other antimalarials. Artemether, a fast-acting artemisinin derivative, rapidly reduces the parasite load in the blood, while Lumefantrine provides a longer-lasting effect to clear residual parasites and prevent relapse. This fixed-dose combination is recommended by the WHO as part of artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT).
