Description

Moxifloxacin ophthalmic solution in a prefilled syringe is a sterile, preservative-free aqueous solution of moxifloxacin hydrochloride., equivalent to 5 mg/mL of moxifloxacin free base. It is supplied in a single-use, prefilled syringe intended for intracameral or intraocular use, primarily administered by ophthalmologists during or following ocular surgeries, such as cataract extraction, to prevent postoperative infections like endophthalmitis.

Composition (per mL):

  • Moxifloxacin hydrochloride equivalent to 5 mg of moxifloxacin
  • Inactive ingredients: sodium chloride, boric acid, sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH), and purified water.
