Description
This medication is a topical analgesic and anti-inflammatory gel formulated for the relief of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation. It contains a combination of Diclofenac Diethylamine, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, Camphor, Eucalyptus Oil, and Oleoresin Capsicum, each of which contributes synergistically to the product’s therapeutic effect.
Pharmacological Action:
- Diclofenac Diethylamine inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis, thereby decreasing inflammation and pain locally.
- Methyl Salicylate increases blood flow, leading to a warming sensation and muscle relaxation.
- Menthol and Camphor stimulate sensory receptors causing cooling and analgesic effects that distract from deeper pain.
- Eucalyptus Oil provides mild analgesia and reduces inflammation with an aromatic effect.
- Oleoresin Capsicum activates TRPV1 receptors, causing release then depletion of substance P, leading to decreased pain perception.
