Description
Cefpodoxime Proxetil Dispersible Tablets are an oral antibiotic medication used primarily in the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections. It belongs to the third-generation cephalosporin class of antibiotics. Mechanism of Action:
Cefpodoxime is a beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). This leads to cell lysis and death in susceptible bacteria. It is bactericidal in nature.
