Description
Bilastine & Montelukast fixed-dose combination tablet provides dual action against allergic symptoms. Bilastine blocks histamine H1 receptors, relieving symptoms like sneezing, itching, and runny nose. Montelukast inhibits leukotriene receptors, reducing inflammation and bronchoconstriction, particularly helpful in allergic rhinitis and asthma. Together, they offer broad-spectrum relief from seasonal allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, and allergic asthma.
Mechanism of Action:
- Bilastine works by selectively antagonizing peripheral H1 receptors, reducing histamine-mediated symptoms without causing sedation.
- Montelukast blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1) in the lungs and airways, preventing leukotriene-induced inflammation, edema, and bronchoconstriction.
