Description
Doxycycline & Lactic Acid Bacillus Tablets is a combination of an antibiotic (Doxycycline) and a probiotic (Lactic Acid Bacillus). It is used to treat bacterial infections while preventing or reducing antibiotic-associated diarrhea and gut flora imbalance caused by the antibiotic.
Mechanism of Action:
- Doxycycline: Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, preventing bacterial growth. It is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
- Lactic Acid Bacillus: A beneficial bacterium that helps restore the normal microbial balance in the intestines, especially during or after antibiotic treatment, reducing side effects like diarrhea, bloating, and indigestion.
