Description
Allium Cepa Extract, Heparin Sodium & Allantoin is a topical gel formulation containing a synergistic blend of Allium Cepa Extract, Heparin Sodium, and Allantoin, designed to treat and manage various types of scars — including hypertrophic scars, keloids, surgical scars, injury-related scars, and burn scars. The formulation promotes wound healing, softens the skin, reduces inflammation, and helps flatten and lighten scars over time.
Mechanism of Action:
- Allium Cepa Extract (Onion Extract): A botanical extract derived from onions, Allium cepa contains flavonoids and sulfur-containing compounds with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antifibrotic properties. It helps inhibit fibroblast proliferation and collagen overproduction, thereby preventing excessive scar tissue formation.
- Heparin Sodium: A naturally occurring anticoagulant that, in topical form, exhibits anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic, and soft tissue remodeling effects. It improves blood supply to the affected area, reduces swelling, and helps break down excess collagen in the scar tissue.
